Fast dog, Fast CAT
Capra (Int Ch Fiacre Woodwynd It Happened One Night FDC CGC TKN DM) ran a Fast CAT today.
A Fast CAT is a short Coursing Ability Test. Think of it as the 100 yard dash for dogs.
It only takes your dog and two slip leads (one for the handler who releases the dog, and one for the handler who catches the dog at the far end)
He ran about 26.6 mph. While this is quite fast, for a Dalmatian, it’s not surprising. The fastest Dalmatian in Fast CAT runs almost 30 mph. The top 10 all are faster than 28 mph, and the top 20 all faster than 27 mph.
